With a strong focus on workplace wellbeing and safety, Zurich continually invests in training and initiatives that support its people. Their Dublin office is home to hundreds of employees across multiple departments and floors, making it essential to maintain a culture of safety, preparedness, and compliance. ## The Challenge Zurich wanted to find a **practical and engaging way** to raise health and safety awareness across its Dublin operations. While compliance standards were already in place, the team saw an opportunity to go further — empowering staff with real confidence in responding to emergencies. - Meet all **HSA requirements** - Build genuine confidence among staff - Encourage more employees to become certified First Aiders - Engage participants across departments and roles ## Our Solution Olive for Training designed and delivered a **custom First Aid Awareness and CPR Workshop** tailored specifically for Zurich Insurance’s Dublin office. The Olive team collaborated closely with Zurich’s Health & Safety leaders to ensure the session would be practical, compliant, and engaging for all participants. The training ran across **two 45-minute sessions**, accommodating more than **40 participants** in total. Led by **Luis Santana**, Olive’s Lead Instructor and Business Development Manager, the workshops combined *live demonstrations*, *group participation*, and *hands-on CPR practice* using training mannequins and AED devices. > “The first thing we achieved was eliminating fear. Once that fear is gone, people are ready to act.” > **![Photo with border (1)](https://blog.olivefortraining.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Photo%20with%20border%20(1).png?width=115&height=86&name=Photo%20with%20border%20(1).png)— Luis Santana, Lead Instructor & Business Development Manager, Olive for Training** ## The Results The initiative was a **huge success**, generating enthusiasm and awareness across all levels of the organisation. - Over **40 employees** took part in the sessions - **12–14 attendees** practiced CPR during the workshops - Staff expressed strong interest in pursuing **full First Aid certification** - Zurich is now planning additional CPR and emergency-response training days > “The interest was unbelievable. It was something that hadn’t been done here before. We were absolutely delighted with the turnout and the engagement from every floor of the building.” > **![Andy_round-1](https://blog.olivefortraining.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Andy_round-1.png?width=86&height=86&name=Andy_round-1.png)** > **—**** Andy Bishop, Zurich Insurance**     Through this collaboration, Zurich successfully strengthened its culture of safety and care — turning compliance into action and ensuring that staff feel confident, capable, and supported in emergency situations. ## Watch the Videos See highlights from Zurich’s training day and hear directly from both Zurich employees and Olive instructors.   | | | | --- | --- | | | |   ## Ready to Empower Your Team?
