Bringing First Aid to Life at Zurich

Earlier this year, Olive for Training partnered with Zurich Insurance to deliver a hands-on First Aid awareness event at their offices. The goal was simple yet powerful — to help staff build confidence in responding to emergencies and inspire more team members to become certified First Aiders.

The response was incredible.

Confidence Through Practice

The session was led by Luis Santana, Olive for Training’s Lead Instructor and Business Development Manager. Luis highlighted that the most valuable outcome wasn’t just the skill itself, but the mindset shift that happened during the training.

“The first thing we achieved,” Luis explained, “was eliminating fear. We demystified what people see in emergencies — the defibrillator, the electric shocks, the CPR process. Once that fear is gone, people are ready to act.”

By combining expert instruction with hands-on practice, participants had the chance to perform CPR and understand the importance of quick, calm response.

“They had a taste of it,” Luis continued, “and that experience makes all the difference. Zurich’s initiative isn’t just about ticking boxes when it comes to compliance — it’s about raising awareness of the importance of saving lives.”
